For many of us the world of work has been turned upside down, or at a minimum twisted and changed.

One apparent side effect of the pandemic is that is has encouraged or nudged people to seek out new roles and opportunities. The media has coined terms such as the great resignation to describe the mass departure of people from organisations.

In the current climate a ‘sticky' work environment – somewhere that attracts and retains colleagues has become a key priority for many organisations and their HR & people teams.

The Job Canvas (launched in November 2021) captures and describes key elements of the work people do. You can think of it as the Job Description 3.0.

This session will explore how the Job Canvas can be used as a distinctive approach in attracting colleagues.

We will share how it can be used to support opportunities for personal and professional growth and career progression through individual reflection and/or coaching-based questions between team leaders and their colleagues.

This session will explore:

  • The role of the Job Canvas in creating a sticky workplace
  • How to use the Job Canvas as part of the recruitment process to attract
  • How to have key conversations with colleagues based on their Job Canvas that promotes discussions about engagement, growth and progression
  • Practical tips and tricks to bring the Job Canvas alive within your organisation
