Two recent articles from TheMarker seem to highlight the continuing stability of the economy in Israel.

TheMarker logoThe first article informs that in the 3rd quarter of 2007, Israel's unemployment rate dropped to %7.3 from %7.5 the previous quarter.

The second article claims that October 2007 saw the lowest number of Israeli job seekers actively hunting in the market in the past 5 years.

Together these trends show that many people got hired in October. That's not too surprising when you think that many companies probably didn't do much hiring in September during the High Holidays, opting instead to wait until October.

November's numbers will be much more telling but regardless, these are still positive signs. If you're a job seeker in Israel, you now have less competition.
