Workshop – Be a STAR at your next interview!

Over the past 2 months we’ve been running workshops, open to anyone, to help develop interview skills. At this next workshop we’ll be concentrating on the STAR method of showing off the skills and experience you have. This is a great way to communicate our successes.

We’ll be looking at the ways you can raise your standing in the eyes of the interviewer, talking about what is important and trying out some ideas, especially using the STAR method to make your point. This is a workshop so there will be plenty of opportunity to practice some of those ideas and as usual there will be plenty of question answering time.

This evening session is being run by Leighton Buzzard Speakers, a community club. We focus on involvement with the local community sharing the many years of experience in developing better communication skills. For this series of workshops which we have been running for the past 18 months we have welcomed participants from all over the world (many where English is not their 1st language), helping them in their speaking, presentation, interviewing and storytelling skills.
