Overview

Dunbar LLc mission is to be a leader in educating and training workers as well as developing new business owners for jobs of the future. Our aim is to bring reform to today's rapidly changing economy by preparing people to use their skills as a force for good within their communities.

Dunbar LLC provides community project development programs for dislocated workers, adults, youth and teens, as well as fundraising opportunities, educational resources, and training to assist new businesses and entrepreneurs. By offering affordable education and training through our Department of Labor Approved Apprenticeship Programs and WIOA funding, Dunbar LLC can now assist local young adults and small businesses with year round paid internships, apprenticeship job programs and education through approved and pre-approved government contracts and services.

What is Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act

• WIOA Grant is a federal grant that is given to the state and then a portion is allocated to local County’s to support business owners find and train qualified employees

Highlights of Dunbar LLC Work Experience Program

•20-week program

•We will establish work schedule

•Participants are paid weekly

•Young Adults will be covered via workers compensation

Who We Serve

☑️The young adults are from ages 16-27 years of ages.

☑️They must have a barrier to employment.

(Barriers are chosen on a federal level)

•Homeless/Runaway

•Criminal background Parent/Pregnant

•High School Dropout

•Foster Youth or Aged-Out of Foster Youth •Disability

•Low Income/High Poverty

Requirements of the Program By Dunbar LLC

* You may work up to 40 hours and no less than 30 hours a week

* No overtime allowed
