In this talk, you will learn everything you need to know about the hiring process and how to prepare as both an employer and a job seeker.

About this event

There is no secret sauce when it comes to hiring. This is not a talk to teach you โ€œ10 Secrets to Hiring The Best Talentโ€ or โ€œHow to Ace Any Interviewโ€ โ€“ because there is no such thing.

I want to make that clear from the beginning.

This talk is designed to educate you on the hiring process as a whole. If you've ever been curious about how good companies:

โœ… Decide on the number of interview stages

โœ… Decide on the hiring criteria for the role (both hard and soft skills)

โœ… Include recruitment agencies into their hiring process

โœ… Come to a decision on which candidate to hire

Then you're about to have all those questions answered in 1.5 hours.

Hiring Managers/HR professionals โ€“ I will be walking you through the typical hiring lifecycle, then give you my spin on modern hiring techniques that will help you secure the best talent as an employer.

Job-seekers โ€“ your main takeaway will be understanding how jobs are created and understanding what to focus on at each interview stage depending on who you're meeting with. Answers you give an HR will be different from the Hiring Manager.

About the Speaker:

Tyler Chin is the Founder of Transform Cultures โ€“ the startup on a mission to educate employers and employees on good hiring practices to create a more meritocratic world of work with minimal discrimination.

He spent only 2 years as a recruiter.

In those 2 years, he progressed from intern to Strategy & Development Manager of a recruitment agency and currently is on the Board of the Recruiters Association Malaysia โ€“ only ever having to replace one hire for a company across 30 positions closed.

Through Transform Cultures, Tyler now spends his time helping companies to modernize their hiring process by incorporating elements of open communication and empathy into their interview process to increase hiring accuracy, reduce time spent on interviews and provide the best possible candidate experience to every candidate they process.

He is also an international speaker on topics of recruitment and career development for young professionals and young entrepreneurs.
