Learn about the 5 key parts to the resume; how to write accomplishments using the P.A.R. format: Problem, Action, and Result to distinguish yourself from the competition. Topics covered: what to include, what to avoid, how to deal with gaps in your employment, formatting, education and work history dates, and how to write a cover letter.

Amy Geffen, Ph.D. is President of Geffen Careers. Career and leadership coach working with GetFive and Prositions as well as private clients. She has over 30 years of experience in management, finance, engineering, and non-profits. She was formerly Director of Professional Development for the Council for Economic Education, CEO of NYSSA, interim CEO of the Financial Women’s Association, and Assistant Dean of Continuing Education at Westchester Community College. She has a BA from Brooklyn College, an MA from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from New York University.
