2020 has been a difficult year for all.
Due to the COVID pandemic — unemployment rates are at an all time high, there is a lack of government assistance and funding as well as healthcare services for those affected by the pandemic.
If you have been furloughed, laid off or are currently on the job search — this workshop is for YOU.
We understand that the job search can be a long and stressful process, especially with so many industries strongly affected by the pandemic.

Guest Speaker and City Councilor Julia Mejia
Julia Mejia was elected to the Boston City Council in 2020. Julia serves with the reminder that nothing about us, without us, is for us. Julia also serves as the chairwoman of the Small Business and Workforce Development Committee.
“My goal is to amplify concerns and provide support to the minority business community in one of the most vulnerable industries economically devastated by COVID,’ Mejia said. ‘We look forward to being able to provide sustainable relief by providing them the business knowledge while finding ways to provide financial support.”
Arturo Natella is the Founder and CEO of Amaru. Amaru is a talent sourcing and career coaching service aimed at promoting people of color in wealth-building opportunities. Arturo worked at the Workforce Development Division at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center where he developed the Massachusetts Clean Energy Internship Program and connected and supported hundreds of students from all backgrounds through the process of obtaining good-paying, clean energy internships. Arturo went on to work for Assistant Vice Chair of Ways and Means, Liz Malia where he advised and advanced legislative priorities on workforce development.
Cristina Costa is the Founder of Cristina Costa Coaching — a career and empowerment coaching service for job seekers that provides diversity and inclusion trainings for tech companies and startups, as well as recruitment services. Cristina serves as the Head of the Career Program at Outco — a San Francisco based startup that provides coaching and technical coaching for job seeking software engineers. Cristina served as Chief Marketing Officer of Women with Purpose, an organization that empowers, educates and advances women of color through professional development seminars, empowerment workshops and networking events.
