Dress for Success Toronto Presents Mastering Your Job Search: The Future of Work

It’s no secret that the pandemic has not only had a disproportionate impact on women in the workforce, but has also shaped how we work altogether. ⁠Navigating the aftermath of the pandemic is one of the biggest business challenges of our time. To keep operations going, most companies adopted new ways of working.

Dress for Success Toronto is here to support women navigate this new normal to empower their journey to career success and economic independence.

Mastering Your Job Search: The Future of Work is a free, five-day virtual conference. The event will consist of a series of five, 60 to 90 minute workshops, specifically designed for women, covering various topics that are relevant to how to effectively job search in this new world of work.

These virtual workshops will help provide women with the tools and resources they need to master their job search and successfully gain meaningful employment, with each session will focusing on a different topic. When registering, attendees can select some or all of the topics, based on their needs.

When registering for the Mastering Your Job Search Conference, attendees are able to request additional career support services. These add-on services are designed to build upon the knowledge received during the MYJS workshops and will take place in the weeks following the event.

Did you know – we have some amazing prizes that can be won throughout the event! At the end of each daily workshop, one lucky attendee will be picked at random and receive a $100 pre-paid Visa gift card! What's more, we will be launching a MYJS Quiz, which you can complete for a chance to win one of five Acer Chromebooks!

And finally – everyone who attends all five sessions will receive an official Mastering Your Job Search digital certificate that can be uploaded to LinkedIn and added to resumes!

In this session, we will be covering how the job market has changed during and post pandemic, and the move to virtual interviewing and remote work. We will also cover the importance of knowing your worth in a competitive job market to better negotiate.

How do you master your first 100 days on the job?

Within your first months, you’ll want to build a network of support that can positively impact your onboarding experience and help you to achieve your goals. This session will show how to navigate the onboarding phases and how to prepare for your success.

June 6 – June 17 — Virtual Mock Interviews, Facilitated By Mars Canada

Mars Canada and Dress for Success Toronto (DFS Toronto) have partnered together to offer Clients virtual mock interviews. These mock interviews provide an opportunity to practice and receive valuable feedback from line managers at Mars in order to improve interviewing skills. The interviews sessions will be held virtually and organized by Mars Canada.

Beginning June 6 — Boutique Suiting Appointments (In-Person or Virtual), Provided By Dress for Success Toronto

Dress for Success Toronto is thrilled to offer Mastering Your Job Search Conference attendees the opportunity to come to our Boutique for a Suiting Appointment. The Suiting Appointments will begin Monday, June 6.

Eligibility Requirements: Must register and attend a minimum of one (1) out of five (5) Mastering Your Job Search Workshops. Spaces are limited and will be available on a ‘first come, first served' basis. Must be located in the GTHA or Ontario to qualify.

Scheduling Your Session: Following the Mastering Your Job Search Conference, you will be contacted to schedule your Boutique Suiting Appointment.

DATES TBD — Career Coaching, Provided By The International Coaching Federation- Toronto Chapter

The International Coach Federation- Toronto Chapter is thrilled to partner once again with Dress for Success to offer a coaching session to participants of the Mastering Your Job Search Conference. This 2.5-hour event will include:

• An understanding of what coaching is and what it isn’t;
• Reasons why you would partner with a coach;
• And the proven personal and professional benefits of coaching.

This also includes a 1-hour coaching session at no cost to you by a trained and/or certified and/or ICF accredited coach.

Eligibility Requirements: Must attend a minimum of one (1) out of five (5) Mastering Your Job Search Workshops. Spaces are limited and will be available on a ‘first come, first served' basis.

Scheduling Your Session: Following the Mastering Your Job Search Conference, participants will receive a Zoom link 1-week before the session via email from DFS Toronto.
