About this event
Finding employment can be challenging for young people, especially during these testing times where the face of education, training and employment is adapting to a pandemic and a post recovery world. For this reason, we have designed two webinars catering to the needs and employment opportunities for young people between 18 – 25 years old so they can determine what careers are available, what their interests are, what skills they have to develop and prepare to land the job of their dreams.
The first webinar will cover:
Women in trades – If you are thinking about a job in the trade sector, there has never been a better time. While it is true that men have traditionally dominated trades, this is no longer the case as we are gradually moving towards gender equality in all industries. With skill shortages in many trades and the demand for qualitative skills, more and more women take advantage of the situation and acquire the skills necessary for a career in the trades sector.
Up and Coming Jobs – Find out what's in demand and what the future trends are.
Free accredited training – New skill, Upskill or Re-skill with free or low-fee courses offered by the government. We will provide the information for courses available so you can study for an accredited certificate, diploma or short course and learn skills for jobs that are in demand.
Resume tips & tricks – Presenting a resume that promotes your skills and achievements is crucial when you are trying to land the job you want. We will show you how to build a resume that is relevant to the jobs you want and you will gain knowledge of how to construct your resume for all your future applications.
Our career expert will be able to answer all your questions during and after the webinar.
The second webinar that follows in two weeks focuses on your preparation for interviews.
We recommend attending both webinars for a complete understanding and successful outcome.
Both webinars are FREE of charge, online through ZOOM.
