About this Event

Job Hunting 101 is a hands on workshop where you will learn and practice the tools necessary to get your job application reviewed by an employer so as to achieve an interview.

This 2 hour workshop will highlight that to be successful in your job search you need to act strategically and have a plan. Your plan has to be more than just applying to as many jobs as you can every day and then hope for a call from an employer.Whether you are a student in college or university or a full time job seeker you need to understand how recruiters select candidates for interviews and what you can do to improve your odds.

You will learn and practice essential tools for obtaining a job interview. It starts with clarifying exactly what is important for you in a position. We then focus on the power of networking, LinkedIn, utilizing job boards and how to customize your job application to the job posting. Becoming proficient in each of these areas will result in a much greater success rate.Remember the goal of any job search is not just to find a job, but to find a role that you will find satisfying and in line with your career goals.

Marc Farrell, Managing Partner, HR NAV PLUS will facilitate the workshop. With over 25 years experience in talent and recruitment, he understands the inner workings of recruitment and how to overcome some of the technological barriers facing job seekers.The 2 hour workshop is limited to 40 participants so be prepared to ask questions, be involved and develop an action plan.
