Interview Masterclass

Are you applying to medical school this year? Daunted at the prospect of interviews? Women in Medicine Society is here to help.

It is well known that practice makes perfect, so we are here to give you the opportunity to practise different interview scenarios at home. We will guide you through 5 common interview stations to ease your mind and prepare you for that all important day.

Our current medical students will give advice on what to say, what not to say and how to approach each of the scenarios. Our presentation will be interactive and consist of video demonstrations showing both good and bad examples of select scenarios, and don’t worry – we won’t make you speak in front of everyone!

Topics we will cover:

– Tackling role play scenarios

– Non-Academic Form: previous caring experience

– Ethics and law; principle of medical ethics

– Matters of medical interest: current media e.g COVID pandemic

– Why do you want to be a doctor?

The slides and videos will be available after the event, so you can practise the scenarios in your own time, applying all the tips and tricks you will have learnt from us.
