About this Event
Intermediate Motivational Interviewing training is an intensive skill-building session. Participants are expected to arrive prepared to practice the skills that were learned in the introductory level training. If you are already comfortable with the following concepts, you are probably ready for the intermediate level:
1. Ambivalence
2. Change Talk and Sustain Talk
3. Righting Reflex
4. Spirit of MI
5. OARS
During this workshop, participants will learn how the concepts listed above fit into the “Four Processes” model, which was introduced to Motivational Interviewing beginning in 2013 (Miller and Rollnick, 2013). A lengthy amount of time is also dedicated to exploring (and reimagining) the concept of resistance.
This ticket is non-refundable, unless cancelled by the organizer. This ticket is also non-transferable to another workshop date. If you do not attend this workshop, you forfeit the costs.
The instructor cannot directly award continuing education credits for this workshop. Most participants receive continuing education credits by applying directly through their professional accrediting bodies. The instructor recommends that you seek guidance from your accrediting body if you wish to pursue this. In the event that you decide to apply for continuing education credits through your accrediting body, the instructor can assist you by providing required documentation (certificate, agenda, power point slides, resume of the presenter, etc.). Email Kate@AdvocacyAcademy.org, if you have any questions.
