• What kind of company you should work at (corporate, startup, consultancy, etc)
• What is the minimum UX skillset expected from employers?

Module 3: Make Resume stand out

• How to craft a suitable resume when applying?
• Why do you need to skip HR and recruiter?
• How to relate your non-UX related experience to fit the applying companies?

Module 4: Brush up UX portfolio

• Do I have to have my own portfolio website?

Elaine Ann is the Founder and CEO of Kaizor Innovation. She has 20+ years of experience in User Experience/Design Thinking. She is a veteran of the early dot-com era in the mid 90's having lived and worked in the U.S. for 12 years. She has worked for companies such as Razorfish, Philips Design, Henry Dreyfuss in New York and Silicon Valley and have designed the User Experiences of some of the very early Internet/technology businesses such as Schwab.com, Intuit's Quicken, Philips Networked Home etc.

Her current clients include: Google, Airbnb, Dropbox, Intel, BMW, Ford etc. Elaine graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Visual Communication Design and Masters in Interaction Design. She is also an EMBA alumnus of the Cheung Kong Business School (Beijing) and is a Stanford Executive Education Design Thinking Bootcamp alumni.

On the side, she organizes a UX community in Vancouver (IxDA – Interaction Design Association Vancouver) with 1000 members on Facebook/Meetup Group. She has also been invited to judge the IF Design Award, ADC Awards and Core77 Awards and spoken globally in this area of her expertise.
