DeepSense Discovery Session – Resumes and Interviews with help from IBM

Thomas Sykes, New Grad Talent Acquisition Partner at IBM, will guide the DeepSense community through a session to help you prepare for the next step in your career. You will learn from Thomas's years of experience in recruitment on how best to position yourself when applying for a new job, co-op or internship. This session will explore:

• Recommendations for writing a resume for a specific job
• Writing a quality cover letter
• How to prepare for an interview

Who should attend:

• Students looking for their first job after graduation
• Students in the middle of their degree applying for internships and co-ops
• Those interested in a refresher of what to do with their resumes

DeepSense Discovery Sessions provide industry partners and students from any academic institution with an interest in data science and the ocean sector to learn more about the ocean economy, ocean data, participate in challenges presented by ocean-related companies and explore the potential of ocean data.
