About this Event

Registration required by 3pm the day before training. This is class is for transitioning service members and military spouses only. Zoom link will be emailed the evening before the class. This advanced resume training has been moved online to a virtual classroom using Zoom. In order to participate, you will need a non-military issued computer, a webcam, and a microphone. In our Targeted Resume Training participants will identify the difference between a Master Resume and a Targeted Resume, translate military skill sets, and match skills and experiences to a job description. Most importantly, participants will create "key results" that show employers the value they bring to the job. Instruction runs from 9am-12:30pm, with a short break around 10:30am. Master Trainer and Talent Magnet podcast host Michele Winn serves as the Training & Development Manager at the Thurston County Chamber. She has worked with area hiring managers and recruiters to develop a resume training that helps service members and miltiary spouses overcome some of the hurdles faced when trying to reframe their experience to a civilian career or to cover gaps in experience. Michele has trained over 1,000 service members and spouses over the past several years at Joint Base Lewis McChord. We look forward to working with you to make you the best possible candidate who is the right "fit" and stands above the competition.
