Mr. Jones leads AFS's Communications Team and is experienced in senior level roles in a number of fields including government, non-profit, and for-profit. For this session, Mr. Jones will show you how to write a resume, avoiding common mistakes, and how to make sure your CV stands out from the crowd.

Session Speakers:

Mr. Morgan Jones

Mr. Jones is a strategic and global partnerships executive with 16 years of experience in strategy development, community engagement, and inclusion. A social media-savvy and collaborative leader, Mr. Jones is skilled in relationship-building, public relations, and corporate social responsibility.

Mr. Jones has been a member of the board of AFS since 2011 and serving the board's Communications Team lead prior to his board role. Mr. Jones manages all of AFS's outreach, including e-mail blasts and social media channels. Professionally, Mr. Jones is currently the Director of Community Engagement and Partnerships at Avenues: The World School, leading local engagement and outreach initiatives for its 2,000 faculty, staff, and students at their NYC Campus. Mr. Jones also served in NYC government under Mayors Michael R. Bloomberg and Bill de Blasio in a variety of community relations related roles. Mr. Jones is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese and lived and worked in China for more than six years.

Mr. Jones obtained his MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, his BA in Chinese Language and Literature from Middlebury College, and holds a graduate certificate from the Hopkins-Nanjing Center – a joint program between Johns Hopkins University and Nanjing University.
