For many, interviews can prompt anxiety that can impact performance and potentially, the outcome in the process. To further complicate, most of our interviews are now digital from our homes and remote corners. This distance can make it harder to ‘read the room’, to build a rapport with the interviewers and to feel meaningfully involved in the process.

Anum will draw from her multidisciplinary experience to outline how you can best show your strengths and demonstrate the impact of your past work to give you the best chance in your next interview. She will discuss some of the challenges associated with virtual and hybrid interviewing and offer guidance for early-career starters on how to put your best foot forward in both contexts. This VOICES discussion aims to support young women navigating the job market at a time when skills and workplaces are changing rapidly.
