Event Description:

“Where have all the candidates gone?” This is a question I hear frequently in working with business owners and recruiters all over the country. We all know employers are struggling to find candidates to fill roles. Sitting back and relying on old standbys like job boards is not enough to meet the demand for quality candidates. The candidates are not begging us for jobs—we are instead, begging candidates to come work for us if they are a good fit for us now, regardless of whether or not they are a good fit for long term.

Conversely, job seekers are overwhelmed with the sheer amount of jobs out there. How do you decide which ones are the “good” ones, and how do you prepare for those that are most exciting for you? Which questions are good questions to ask, and how should you follow up to ensure you get the job you most want?

We are going to jump in and take a look at the interview/recruiting process from both vantage points and see how we can help people learn how to interview better, while helping companies consider new ways to successfully recruit candidates.

About Julie:

Julie Pitts is currently a Business Performance Advisor with Insperity, the premier outsourced HR partner for small to mid-sized companies all over the country. She helps business owners and C-level executives create and implement strategy HR initiatives across their companies, utilizing F100 level resources which are typically only available to larger companies. Prior to Insperity, Julie consulted with small to mid-sized businesses, developing strategic recruiting and marketing initiatives, and has been successful in F100 level companies as well as start up organizations. Her passion is in recruiting and marketing, but she has also been a sales and software trainer, and has excelled in business development, project management and leadership.
