About this event
Finding an internship can be a challenge – that is, until you find an effective process for a successful search. Don't let the perfect internship pass you by and learn how to take advantage of all the resources at your disposal.
Are you using Handshake, your school's Career Services, your department's internship manager or other job boards like The HBCU Career Center? Are you tapped into HBCU-specific internship programs? Have you found your ideal paid internship? If you answered no to any of these questions, this workshop is for you!
Attendees will learn:
- Tips to finding internships
- Rikeshia's strategy to ensure internship information comes to your inbox
- Other types of hands-on/experiential learning opportunities to add to your search
Post-event, three HBCU students and recent grads will be chosen at random to meet with Rikeshia for a one-on-one virtual mentor session. During each session, Rikeshia will give a personalized resume review and do an informational interview to support career exploration. Those selected will also be connected to two professionals for further informational interviews.
