About this event
The transition to net zero will transform our economy, creating hundreds of thousands of green jobs in the capital. This will bring both significant opportunities and profound challenges for residents and businesses in central London. Understanding how the labour market is likely to change will be crucial to ensuring that we are able to seize on these opportunities, and support people to adapt.
Join us for the release of new research by WPI Economics – commissioned by CLF – into green jobs and skills in central London. The event will explore the green jobs that will be created, and how we ensure our residents have the skills that will be needed to access them. We will also hear from two ground-breaking projects in central London focused on supporting green skills.
Speakers will include:
- Cllr Elizabeth Campbell, Chair of Central London Forward and Leader of Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (Chair)
- Joe Ahern, Head of Policy Consulting at WPI Economics
- Sophie Hulm, Head of Skills at City of London Corporation
- Amanda Winder, Hub Co-Ordinator at Mayor's Construction Academy LSBU Hub
