Meet our speaker:
Anthony AmselĀ is aĀ Wildlife BiologistĀ currently working asĀ Resource Conservation ManagerĀ for the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park (Parks Canada), where he actively plays a role in marine mammal conservation. His work consists of strategic planning, regulation development, field surveys, research, community engagement, policy work and threat mitigation. Before joining the federal family, Anthony spent the lastĀ 15 yearsĀ gaining skills in an array of projects through theĀ private, provincial, industrial, community, and NGO sectors, where he had the chance to study turtles, snakes, wolves, birds, and other critters.
Outside of work, he dedicates his time to conservation-based initiatives by seating on the board of directors forĀ Amphibian and Reptile Conservation CanadaĀ and as a co-director for theĀ Canadian Youth Conservation Conference. As an avid outdoorsman, Anthony also relishes any opportunity to spend time outside where he can connect with nature ā you can probably find him paddling, climbing, camping or hiking in the wild!
