Getting hired by tech companies is easier than you think. And no, you don't need a degree in computer science!

Unlike many industries, the tech sector has remained resilient through Covid. So much so that currently 10% of all UK job vacancies are in tech.

Tech roles typically pay better than average and offer greater flexibility. So it is no surprise that young job seekers are increasingly enticed by them. Yet, in spite of the allure and technology's prevalence in our daily lives, the sector remains a mystery to many.

This practical half day workshop, hosted in collaboration with the University of Westminster, will shed light on the industry and what it takes to get hired by companies of all sizes.

What to expect

You will meet and learn from tech recruiters, and people working at tech giants, as well as some of the hottest startups in London! You will join masterclasses to give you the insider info and edge you need to stand out in job interviews. And you'll gain practical tips on which roles are suited to your interests and skills, where to look for tech jobs, as well as how to craft the perfect application and sell yourself in interviews.

Who is it for?

This event is targeted at 18-30 year old Londoners living or studying in Westminster or Southwark with an interest in creative or digital industry careers. Please note, if the workshop is oversubscribed, priority will be given to individuals who fit this criteria.
