This workshop is for anyone who wants to increase their success in getting interview invitations and job outcomes.
An essential element of job search success that many jobseekers aren't aware of is preparatory deep and broad research of the labour market.
If you are not getting many responses to your job applications, one element that you might be missing is this.
Furthermore, statistics tell us that over 70% of job opportunities are in the “hidden job market”.
Learning how to research industries in demand, and what employers truly want is a key skill if you want to succeed in a competitive job market. In this interactive workshop our Skills and Job Centre staff guides you through a process that will enable you to understand how to conduct research to optimise your job search.
In this workshop:
• You will understand what tools you have available to yourself to better understand the job market and how you fit in.
• You will learn how to research companies and recruiters via platforms such as Seek, LinkedIn and other platforms for increased job search success
• How to reach out to employers before sending in your application to maximise application success
