If you know of a product or service that might interest other JobMobbers, there’s now something you can do about it and you might even make some money while you’re at it.
Jump: The best part about being a JobMob affiliate
If you found it useful, other JobMobbers will too
There are 2 things you can do in the above situation:
- Become a JobMob affiliate. Then, with a simple email ask that company to advertise on JobMob the product or service you like. When the company advertises on JobMob, you – the affiliate – will earn a 25% commission.
- Tell us about it.
How do you earn the 25% commission?
When you become a JobMob affiliate, you get your own unique affiliate ID number that can be appended to any link to JobMob like this:
http://jobmob.co.il/?ref=xx where “?ref=xx” can be appended to any JobMob link and “xx” is your affiliate ID number.
A good idea is to direct people to JobMob’s Advertise Here page like in this example:
http://jobmob.co.il/advertise-here/?ref=xx (you need to replace the “xx” with your affiliate ID number)
Once you send your link to an advertiser who uses it to come buy advertising on JobMob, you will earn your commission 8 days after the ad has been approved.
What is a 25% commission worth?
This table shows what you’ll earn as a JobMob affiliate:
| Ad Type | Ad Cost (US$) | Your 25% (US$) |
| 125×125 Button | 200 | 50 |
| 468×60 Banner | 100 | 25 |
| Site-wide Link | 50 | 12.50 |
| Sponsored Review | 200 | 50 |
| Urgent Review | 300 | 75 |
Note: the values are in US$ because my affiliate management system only understands that currency. However, PayPal can convert your US$ commissions to shekels or another currency.
How do you become a JobMob affiliate?
Go to the JobMob affiliate page and signup with your name, email address, password, your PayPal address and an answer to the security question. There will NOT be a confirmation email. After signing up, you’ll be sent to your Affiliate Account page where you can find your unique affiliate link.
Please write down your password because you will need it with your email address to access your Affiliate Account page. Also, bookmark that page in your web browser for easy reference.
No PayPal account?
No problem, get a PayPal account here. A PayPal account is currently the only way to receive your affiliate commissions.
The best part about being a JobMob affiliate: Recursive Commissions
JobMob affiliate commissions are recursive for life, which means that as long as your advertisers advertise on JobMob, you continue earning commissions from all of their purchases. This is true even if they stop all their campaigns and then come back later. Once there’s an affiliate-advertiser relationship in our system, it exists forever.
To illustrate:
You become a JobMob affiliate and bring an advertiser who buys a 125×125 button 30-day placement, earning you $50. If the advertiser renews the purchase for a 2nd month, you earn another $50 even though you did nothing in particular for the 2nd month. If the advertiser then stops but comes back again 6 months later, you will still earn a commission on each purchase.
You can imagine why affiliates love recursive commissions.
Who would want to be a JobMob affiliate?
First of all, you don’t need to be a JobMob subscriber to become a JobMob affiliate. Anyone can do it and you should give it a try if you’re already using some product or service that you think other JobMobbers would appreciate.
Also, if you know anyone who does affiliate marketing, please share this with them. Although affiliates love recursive affiliate programs, there are very few available.
Subscribe to JobMob via RSS or email for other unusual ways to increase your income while on your job search.

I live in Israel. Your ad about
affiliates sounds like it is catered to Americans as you offer payment in US
dollars. Are you paying US dollars to affiliates in Israel?.

Great question, Miriam.
The problem is with the system I’m using for affiliate management. It’s a great system, but when it comes to currencies I had to choose one and only one to be used across the board. Shekels aren’t a choice.
However, because commissions are paid via PayPal which does understand shekels, Israel-based affiliates won’t have any problems.

Hi Martin,
PLEASE DON’T YELL :)
Affiliate marketing is a big business, and as such, many people will happily take your money to teach you what they’re doing. Unfortunately, a lot of the information out there is garbage. Like almost anything, affiliate marketing is about learning, networking and most importantly, DOING. Start following a blog like uberaffiliate.com regularly and trying your hand while you learn.

My wife and I got tired of all the Internet scammers stealing money from us and others. We knew that a fraction of the Internet home business opportunities were really legitimate, but we just didn’t know which ones. So we started talking to people and reviewing a lot (a whole lot) of business systems on the internet. We had many late nights up on the computer. Hard work paid off and we find a dozen or so that seem to work very well with everyday people. So we made a web career blog. Needless to say my wife and I now work from home full time.
