Lots of good info here. One thing I would add is to ask questions at the end so that you show you're interested. This is a common mistake many people make during an interview.

@Speechie Keen - A two way conversation on topics supported by the interviewer or related to the job is fine. But the situation is different when you bombard the interviewer with questions. The interviewer may or may not like your behavior. To be on the safe side, it is better to refrain from doing that. Again, the rule is job specific.

@Craig Silverman - Happy to know that you liked the article. These are some mistakes most of the freshers make while attending their first interview.

Good Article! Recently I had the chance to be part of an interview panel. The first person bombed the interview by breaking several of your rules. The second person nailed the interview and got the offer.

To be honest, I've never hesitated to ask questions in interviews and I've even had a couple where most of the time was passed with me doing the interviewing. That said, you do need to pick your spots, as it can leave an overbearing impression and cost you the job.

A useful post!

I've always been told that an interview is a two-way street, where both parties are effectively interviewing each other and you should make an effort to ask questions.
